This is the platform and anchoring system we used to safely install the ridge cap and anchor in to a 10/12 steep metal roof. Once we installed all the metal panels, we lost our anchor point and needed to build a jig that could be easily moved down the ridge as we installed the ridge cap trim. Standing on the lower 2x4 to install, this jig worked great. I hope this drawing helps.
